HPV infection you can prevent...
The Human Papilloma Virus has been known to be causally related to cervical cancer. The virus is transmitted by sexual contact, and does not cause symptoms when infecting the person. The infection is chronic and lifelong. When the HPV vaccine was developed it was initially approved for girls, to prevent cervical cancer. The recommendation was extended to boys to decrease the infected population. As the HPV virus was found to contribute to head and neck cancer as well, it becomes imperative to vaccinate boys and girls before they become infected.
